Long Long Time

(Written after I found my biological father who I had been searching for, for over 20 years.)

I looked for you for such a long long time,
Needed to know who I am..
And where've you been all this time,
Who've you been, when I needed a friend..

I searched the world for many years..
Talked to people, holding back the tears..
Why'd you leave..
Leave.... Me..

I needed you oh so much
And I....really wished you'd kept in touch..
Why'd you go.. I'd like to know.

I've stopped looking for you since then.
Don't need to know where you've been..
Cause I've grown up since way back when..
And I know.. WHO... I...  AM.....

I have a family who stands by me..
Their love is what set me free..
How can you see.. how can you see me..

You left me when I was young
and you said Good bye .. good bye my son
How could you go.. I loved you so.

I've got daughter now...  she's a lot like me..
And her laughter is a site to see..
You'd be proud if you could see
The little lady she's grown to be.....

We've talked about you throughout the years
Sometimes I still shed those tears
How can you know... How I still miss you so..

But Dad I just wanted you to see....
How your still a part of me...
And I forgive you.. and you can too.
